I plan to weld my exhaust in place using a solidox welder. Since im welding near the petrol tank, do i need to be extra careful? is it a good idea?

The fact that you need to ask this, scares me lol.

Yes you need to be careful of the fuel tank and lines, plus the brake lines.

Take a wild guess. Follow that hunch and get back to us on the results. :bang:

Nah dont worry about it mate. Fuel is only flammable in Engines and Movies because of the injection process....

since im cutting off the mufler and replacing it with a straight pipe, it would need to be welded together.

im not stupid, i was just asking for some serious advice how to not cause problems with the fuel. thought it wasn't too much to ask.

Why do you want to remove the rear muffler ? The noise inside the car becomes annoying and there is no power gains to be had .

i tested it out, i like it. i hated the sound of the exhaust with the muffler. now it has a bit of a note to it. i can live with the noise. i spend many hours in my friends 180sx, now that's loud.
