This is what happens when you drive a lowered VX on poorly maintained country roads in an area where the council thinks house brick sized rocks are "road base."
Oh, and if anyone is using something like a Gregory's manual, don't believe them when they tell you how you just have to jack the motor and remove the flange bolts to get the sump off.

2004 2.5L Subaru Outback
This is exactly why we have the 16'' rims with a higher profile tyre, we live outback Queensland and some days drive down a 4km gravel to home.
One of the reasons we bought a Subaru Outback for the dirt roads.

Yep. Have got mine up with a bit of clearance. Def not a good idea to get lower.
Have a few kays of dirt but still got dinged rims from sealed road potholes.
These cars really are built for proper sealed roads.
Just got some big lights too otherwise can't see anything even with headlight upgrade.

Why lots of country people have 4 wheel drives with lots of ground clearance plenty of places I visit the old commodore didn't like . If its not a major road don't hold your breath thinking its going to be resurfaced in a hurry. Why I laugh at young blokes lowering there cars around here most of them are lifting there 4wds.
