Remove the center console and unscrew the screws, there as 3 hidden behind that glove box cover and 3 hidden behind the panel under the steering column, it should just pull out now.

I have seen gauges mounted there before, a search may turn up some information on how it was done.

My mate did it with his VS.

He said that because the gauges taper, you can cut the hole so the guage will hold itself in, so theres no mounting needed.

Along with what dufus said, you'll also need to take out the Auto cover (just unclip it, don't remove it) and theres 3 screws along the bottom of the radio cover, then this will unclip. Then you should be able to remove the surround.

Edit, i'm a dick, forgot the pics

This pic shows the 3 screws right at the bottom (well, it shows the holes)

Not that i know of. He just recommended buying a 2nd surround to cut, so you don't **** up your good one.

hey the gauges i have have a "dim" function to be activated by a "dim" switch, i was thinkin that i could put the switch on the auto cover, is that do able or are there to many things to get in the way?

Personally i'd hook it up so they dim with the headlights on.
