- 2001 WH Statesman LS1 manual HBD
Hi all,
So I'm looking at converting my LS1 WH Statesman to a manual. I have the opportunity to use a VY SS ute as the donor car, the ute would get my auto in return.
As far as I understand, I'll need the clutch and brake pedals, the clutch lines, cylinder and reservoir, the flywheel, clutch and obviously the trans. I should be able to use my existing driveshaft. I will need the ecu programmed to manual. Am I right so far?
What I'm unsure of:
- Does the manual motor have a different crank?
- What modifications will need to be done to the loom?
- Will my original crossmember fit?
- Would I be better off swapping the engines with the transmissions?
- Will my auto box work in the VY SS ute?
- Will my statesman be driveable until I can get the ecu re-programmed?
Many thanks in advance.
