What amp do I need.

    Why 4 gauge wire? A quality copper (not copper plated) 8 gauge wire should be more then sufficient.

    800wrms is going to be in excess of 60A(rms) spikes could be well over 100A if not higher.

    Oh ok, gotcha. I have a feeling the 800w is going to be max/peak rating but im only speculating.

    Whats the fuse(s) on the amp rated at Davleigh?

    those amps are fire hazards, why can't you just buy a cheap 2nd hand amp? surely that wasn't the best ebay had to offer?

    Ok so the actual amp i now own is a
    Sound magus x1502 digital amp.
    it's a 1500 watt rms monoblock amp :-D

    Hooking it up in the morning :-D

    Careful use of the gain control is the best.

    That amp will be fine, the issue is, you won't hear, or smell the subs being pushed beyond their limits in that small sealed box.

    You probably get away with running the amp at 0.5ohm daily, and give the subs a decent amount of power, but, as I said, not in that prefab box.

    dont use that amp at .5 ohm loadninto those subs. period.
