Look mate, as you ve probably gathered, we don't think much of your choice in sub. Boss Audio are not renowned for making high quality gear. Kinda like vespas and fat chicks... both cheap and fun to ride but you don't want to tell your mates about it if you know what I mean.

Their amps had a reputation for catching fire. Never saw it myself but that's the word on the street

Stick with well known QUALITY brands and nobody will be taking the piss out of this thread that was gonna go straight down hill from the start.
Now, seeing that another person has asked for an installer in Melbourne I'm going to recommend Phatt Audio Concepts to you as well..

Because, well, if you believe any of the Boss Audio ratings for their subs and amps your really must not have a single damn clue about car audio.
Remember, more is not better if it's cheap and too good to be true.

Just for shits and giggles I had a look at the picture of that amp I posted, it has 2 GREEN fuses. Now assuming standard fuses that is 2 x 30amp fuses. Now that amp says 1000wrms at 4-ohms, but it says that it is 2-ohm minimum, so lets say 2000wrms at 2-ohms.

Now 60amps x 14.4v = 864w. That means that the amp is 232% effecient. It generates power bitches.
