i think there is a difference between back stabbing and bitching behind someones back. but yes, back stabbers are scum. ive never had it happen to me nor have i done it to anyone
A Ture Story! In 1975, I was sitting in a group of pilots when one of them started a discussion on an incident where a Mirage had recently landed wheels up at Tullamarine. Anyhow, animated conversation flowed, mostly critical of the absent knucklehead. Then the originator of the discussion upped the ante. He stated that it was bad enough for a pilot of a single seat fighter to land wheels up, but the "******" who a few years earlier had landed a dual crew F-4 Phantom wheels up had to be a prize idiot (or words to that effect). One of the pilots agreed with him, and "encouraged" him to keep the criticism going and even embellish it further. Suddenly it dawned on the critic that his encougager had once flown the F-4, so he asked him did he know the pilot involved. The answer behind an icy stare was, "F***ing me!!!"
