    SV6 VE series 2
IMG_0580.JPG Hi all, I'm looking for advice on what sort of price I can sell my sv6 series 2 2011 VE for.
I've been to a couple of car yards and had a few guys wanting to buy it but way below what I believed was a reasonable offer.
It only has 58000km on it, I'm the 2nd lady owner, it has custom lights front and back, 20 inch low profiles, has been opti coated, has a stainless steel quad exhaust, personalised plates, full service history and has the HSV plate under the hood. It's in excellent condition, washed and detailed every single week, non smoking and always garaged.
Can I get some feedback as to a ballpark figure of pricing you think would be acceptable please.

    "HSV plate under the hood"

Curious, but what does it say on this plate?

    It's probably a 'HSVi' plate.

Not that I would buy it as I don't like the wheels or exhaust mods they devalue it to my way of thinking when I went with my friend the other day looking for a VE $18 to $20 k was his price range we looked at heaps with around the same k's as yours. Theres alot of ve's to choose from.

If it was delivered new with optional HSVi wheels it may have an HSVi plate under the hood.

The car looks in mint condition with low kms but if you sell to a dealer you will get a low wholesale price for it (about 11000 or less)and the dealer will put it on the lot and ask about 18000 and likely more.

Sell it privately and ask $17000 for it.

Check carsales.com.au and look at what dealers are asking for the same car, same year, same condition and importantly low kms like yours.

If you have a noisy exhaust it's going to put off some buyers and those wheels look terrible and won't help you sell it. If you are keeping them on then have the red faces on the wheels painted black in the same gloss level as the rest of the wheel and it will look much more presentable.

Thanks for everyone's input, I really appreciate it.
And as for changing my rims to black, I had already contacted a powder coater to get a quote for black onyx, but had. Wen left confused as some said don't do it, it will look ugly. But this has made me go with my original thought and do it.
And as for the price you suggest, thank you for making me realise I'm not dillusional as to the price I was thinking I can get

I certainly wish you luck in obtaining the best possible price for your car. Have you considered selling it privately. The price should be a lot better then through a car yard. If you have carried out any modifications that may not be legal for on-road use, they may prove to devalue your vehicle. (such as lights, exhaust etc). Good luck.

    +1 for all black rims.
V6 after-market exhausts are questionable. Never really found any that sounded good to keep. I preferred the SS stock muffler on mine. Quieter with a bit of tone.
