If you're after a base SS sedan, any ute or any wagon you should be able to get a good discount. These are simply not moving at all. SSV stock is out there as well.

The only models that you are paying a premium for at the moment are Calais V and Redline. These are still a bit tight on supply.

Hahah I agree with you Reaper. I've heard of a lot of people getting ripped in Mackay.
And yeah the SSV and RL will run so much better because the price difference is so negligible considering what you get.

Quote here for a SSV Redline Ute, auto in black (metallic) with tint and mats for just under $50K through Private Fleet (private rego)

Retail in NSW is more like $55K apparently. I thiiink it sounds like a good deal?

So I ended up buying a standard (with just floor mats) Hot Red SSV VF. Ended up getting it local for $48,300. I could have gotten $47,300 but for me it was worth not driving the 10 hour round trip for $1000. Simply due to work etc. Waiting on delivery which should be tomorrow afternoon due to it being in stock :) So keen. Can't wait. And got $19k for my 2009 VE SS :) Pretty happy with it.

Nah, problem for me is with my work.. it's EXTREMELY hard to get a day off on a weekend, let alone during the week. So the only time I would be able to organise it would be for a saturday.
In the end, for me I felt this was a much better option. And it's literally around the corner from where I work :)
