Used the home made gantry to lift a 90hp outboard onto a trailer today, far out there is some weight in them. Now about 2/3s the way through getting the buggard 60hp off the boat.

May have a buyer for the broken 60hp. We'll see if he turns up Thursday evening.

Tomorrow's job is to wire it all up before heading bush for work on Monday.

Went to a mates today to fit a motor onto his newly bought ski boat

120 HP 4V 2 stroke outboard on a small ski boat.....

The front jockey wheel is 6" off the ground with the motor bolted onto the boat.

Glad I won't be driving that on the water....She'll be scary to say the least

Any idea what motor it originally had?

Sounds like he took advice from Jeremy Clarkson on boat motors.

This all sounds familiar. Is that mate in Tasmania?

Yeah, because the bow is normally pretty heavy so it surprises me too. A 120hp is not a big motor. Lots of ski boats have 220hp motors. With that much weight on the back it might not get up to the plane very quick especially with a skier being towed, as the stern could dig in too much until it gets up to speed. This will make it hard to pull the skier out of the water. It will be interesting to see how he goes. He will likely want to get some more weight in the bow area to help it. Be good if @vc commodore can provide an update when his mate takes it out.
