    stalled it.
normally when in traffic itll be in first, and i hate sitting there with the clutch in for no reason.
so in 1st and slap it into neutral. or so i thought.
turned out i slapped it into 2nd.

also got a response back about a potential "future" car.
waiting on a few more answers, then yeah... shall go from there

Tried doing the brakes on my car.... despite the breaker bar and wd40 and nearly pushing the car off the stands could not get the caliper bolts undone.

On the up side, may have figured out what the clunk noise on the front passenger side is, the shocks/struts seem to have a little play at the top where it bolts into engine bay, didn't have a socket big enough to do up though.

Nah, rotors and pads. Didn't realise how bad the pads were worn down, have roughly 15mm left of the pads and rotors have chunks out of them seems from stones or so, might pay someone to do them all for me as I don't have time and cannot get the bolts undone :(

Was going to do both cars to save money but cannot get the bolts to budge at all.

Give them a hit with a hammer to crack it? Usually works a treat.

Yep, even tried my other trolley Jack under the breaker bar and all it would do is shake and move the car.

I had my brakes done over a year ago now from a mobile mechanics, wonder wtf was used to make them this tight?

Get a longer breaker bar and hit the breaker bar with a hammer. To shock it a bit.
Or try putting a pipe on it for extra leverage.

    Used this:

(Yes, a VE rear door does fit in the back of a Hyundai Getz!)

    To turn this:

    Into this:

$300 for the door, plus $50 to get it retinted (not yet done) beats the $1856 quote I got to repair it.

Can't remove the glass from original door and swap over? Or a CBF since can get the tint cheap?

Bit of both. Looked in the service manual and started pulling the old glass out, but it started raining and I just said screw it.

$1850 to replace a door ? WTF !! and nice job by the way, did the door come from a wrecker ?

Yesterday fitted the Holden harness for the towbar. Today towed stuff with the VE for the first time and enjoyed the ride with the new suspension.
