Tried to neaten up the wiring, then tried to take it for a drive. FPR **** itself, so then had to undo most of the wiring.
Cleaned her fluently then went out bought some grommets and touch up paint and filled in my spoiler holes then tomorrow is WHITEWALLS!!!
Put the car in the garage so i can replace my timing chain (double row! WOOT), sump and my aircon bracket since it snapped in half, dont know how the #### that happened lol OH i hate that! I have a miss that I'm going to try and find this week....
Repaired the rear tyre.....walked out this morning to find the tyre had picket up a screw, and was completly flat!!! Oh an another thing...make sure when you fill up the tyres with air, the machine is measuring in the correct units. I went to fill up the tyre, and as the machine was already set to "36" I thought "yeah the should be fine". Didn't realise that somebody had changed it to 36kpa, which is far less then the 36psi I needed to fill the tyre to.
pulled the motor out, had a break for a few hours, few rums few cigarettes then it started raining so i put the bonnet back on and now we wait for the rain to stop, prep the engine bay up and paint it a very pale lime green...
Spent an hour finishing off putting the engine mounts in, pretty easy in the end (after spending 6 - 8 hours battling through it yesterday!)
just rubbed the whole car down (again) in 400, hosed it off, waiting for the majority of the water to evap, then air hose out the cracks, prepsol her down and (after my neighbour either leaves or takes his washing off the line) spray her again *ari is armed with information*
Fitted caprice grille, new indicator bulbs, changed the drive belt and tensioner as it was slipping off occasionally. Oh and fitted new numberplate lights
cleaned it, fitted the 12psi pulley back on cos my 10psi belt is cracking lol..., drove it round all afternoon trying to get rid of this hangover
Spent a good few hours sanding the pits and casting marks off the intake manifold in preparation for polishing it.
