Left it in the garage and drank all day while watching the football.....don't even regret that decision at all.
Changed the oil and 2 spark plugs ..... grrrrrr couldnt figure out how to lift the intake the easy way everyone talks about without separating both pieces so put it back together and went for a drive . anyone?
4 centre bolts, and the front and rear bolts that U can't see, need an extension bar to get to. Leave the front and rear bolts that U can see.
Fitted the Momo shifter knob onto the short shifter I installed the other day. Hurry up wiring loom and exhaust! And inner boot.
Fitted the F1 Performance OTRCAI and the X-Force 3" cat back to the VE, then used active select to heat it up and GET RID OF THAT AWEFUL SMELL! LOL. It's nice but I still love my VPSS.... B)
Packed the boot: Stock exhaust Stock intake Stock brakes Ready for an "untune" tomorrow, going from 435rwkw to about 270-290rwkw
Blew out the blocked washer nozzles at passenger side and rear window-am I a happy man. Its good to be able to clean without smearing! Used my compressor to do it and a little bit of clean/alignment with a needle, man is the front(watever its called) cover over the front squirty nozzles a pain to get off!
Fitted a new alternator, it seems to start better already. I guess a cold start tomorrow morning will tell all.
Oh of course! Undo the bolts you cant see ... why didnt i think of that ? I know what your talking about tho, i stuck my fingers down those holes but didnt feel any bolts. Runs a bit better with 2 new plugs so keen to get back to it and do the rest
I have been overseas for 5 weeks, the SS has not been started in 5 weeks and the battery is just on 7 years old, so my big one for the day was to see if it would fire up, turned the key started first pop. Don't know what to do with this battery whether to bite the bullet and buy a new one or see how long it will go for. Battery is nothing special just an Excide 460cca fitted in June 2006.
mental design but, its saved so many gaskets! good luck with the rest! purchased a new camber kit as i found my old one has flogged out a couple of the bushes
asked a locksmith about getting a new doorlock cut so I only have to have 1 key for ignition and door instead of 1 for each. locksmith said go speak to another local locksmith, as they only cut keys and what not (part of another business) and see what they could do.
decided to melt the transmission cable today. not the way you think you would, oh no. fibreglass took care of the outer sleeve nicely. noooo the radiant heat on the end of the cable, heated it up so much that it burned its way from the inside out. good work ari!
