Did some mix matching with the front struts. Found the struts I bought had Super pro strut mount top. Winn

Once I removed struts, found this pair in the front....

Used King springs "FE2" apparently.. Pretty happy with it all, fixed noisy front end and it feels a bit smoother.

My wife found the owner's manual after it being about 5 years MIA (the manual, not the wife) so I could finally reactivate the stereo, which had been locked since I disconnected the battery back in 2012. Cue a grinning idiot hurtling round town blaring Underworld, Groove Armada and De La Soul from a mid-'90s spec Eurovox tape deck. It's the little things eh.

Got a new windscreen on the 19th Aug, thank goodness for free glass cover and no claims bonus.
Had car serviced today at the local dealer (120k), new brake pads all around, spark plugs, oil and filter. Was told that the water pump was leaking,
had that replaced under warranty (took 3 year cover when purchased the vehicle).
Started to drive the car home and noticed the temp gauge was way to high, needle fluctuated between 1/4 and 3/4, was also fluctuating cool and hot air out of the interior heater.
Tried to ring the service department but they had already knocked off and gone home.
Restarted the car and had it in engineering mode showing the coolant temp, drove the car home rather gingerly keeping an eye on the temperature, stopped at least a dozen times to let it cool down to 90C, it got as high as 120C at one point, averaged between 100-114C on the trip home.
Got home and purged the cooling system of air , ended up adding 3 litres of water to the system and after that took the car for a spirited drive and it never got over 97C.

Hope the high temps haven't shortened the life of my engine.
Now to ring the service dept on Monday and lodge a query or complaint on it and to get them to document all this so i can have some recourse at a future date.
Hopefully they will back up their good name and come to the party if anything goes wrong with it.

Following up my headlight modifications by Loudz Creations, we blacked out the low beam chrome and added angel eyes (halos, light rings, whatever you want to call them).
Looks a heap better than Altezzas and blows them out of the water performance wise ;)
