I been using water feed on the VK to the carby and a 27G blunt needle as a fixed jet. It is too fine a bore and prone to blocking. I took the needle out by heating the needle with the flame from a lighter and pulled the needle out of the stub with a pair of pliers. Voila now the bore is 19 gauge-ish. I had a pack of blunt needles for the project and did that to several of them and used 2 of them in line and a one way valve from the water bottle. It seems to be more reliable. It runs smoother, i get better economy and makes good power.

Replaced a window regulator in the family wagon.

First time I've done one of these.....in and out in 40 mins.

Stealership quoted 1.5hrs labour at $240.

Yer @VS 5.0 got the car back on the Thursday after dropping her off the repair looks good but I noticed the other day that a heap of the fixings for the inner guard to rear bar are missing which is annoying.

Took it for a drive to cool it down! These 43 degree days aren't good for a car sitting in the sun.

When gets above about 35 nobody really does any work. Everyone just sits around in the AC and MIGHT go out for an ice cream or a Slurpee :)
