2000 Vs Ute
Washed it (Snow Foam, deironizer on wheels, 2 bucket method)
Waxed it (Dodo Juice Purple Haze)
Leather conditioned the seat (Zaino Z9 + Z10)

Lots of effort at about 3.5 hours.
Time went by easily with the radio in the background.
But came out awesome.

Fitted a saas catch can and cleaned the throttle body, PCV and intake plenum on the old LS.

I will endeavour to give a review after 1k km to see if it actually does anything.

If there is still some oil mist getting in I have some fuel foam to add inside the baffles of the can if required.

There wasn't alot of oil in the throttle body, the install was more out of boredom and something to do, rather than a real need.

The old girl doesn't really use any oil, Penrite full synthetic 10w 40, between the 5k km services.

The engine, 2002 VX SS LS1, only has 135k km on it and it is running nice and quite and like a clock.

After sleeping on it I decided that, IOT empy the can I would need to remove it IOT get the required clearance needed to unscrew the base, I concluded that would suck balls to do on a regular basis.

So, as the can had a fitting on the bottom I went on the googles to try and find a nipple to fit the thread, some hose, and a pet cock.

Wouldn't you know it, SAAS makes one but it isn't supplied in the kit I purchased.

Enter Supercheapautos, $25 later and bam problem solved.

The pic with the fuel foam was only for a test fit, I will see how the intake is after 5k km and make a decision on whether I need to fit it, if I do fit the fuel foam I will remove the can every 5k km service and clean and/or replace it with some new fuel foam.

I could have done it a little cheaper by getting the parts separately, but, give me convenience or give me death.

And yes, the car if filthy and is in dire need of a good wash.

And the weeping trans cooler line will be addressed when I get the trans cooler, when the new torque converter finally shows up, hopefully next week damn it....

Yesterday my alternator turned into a smoke machine so today I installed a new one, also this turned up at my auto trans guys workshop.

Yes, the car is now at the work shop getting that and a air to oil trans cooler installed.

On the weekend I removed the cam that was fitted to the new motor in my VC.....Not big enough for my liking...So today, I ordered another one, which will be ready to be picked up tomorrow or Friday, ready for installing on the weekend :)

220k on the odo...sv8 f/pump needed replacing although not sure fuel guage reads correct after reading reviews.

Car failed pinkslip due rear windscreen tint being purple, reduced visibility so had to pay tinter dude to remove it in less than an hour.

Had a long to-do list to get through during 4-5 days off...got less than half of it done.

2800 stall is in, as well as a big trans cooler plumbed inline after the radiator

From idle, no brake, when you plant it in drive it flashes straight to 2800rpm and all hell breaks lose, through the first 3 gears it is a smoke show, now I need something that grips better than 245/45 17 RE003

Super fun modification

Yes, my fuel economy around town will suffer big time

Did a skid, on a private road...

Stuck it in D with trac off and mashed the pedal

This little section was where it was peeling out from second through third

I need more positive camber, I'm sacrificing a big chunk of traction

Tyres: 245/45 17 Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE003

Car already has a "pedders" camber bush, hopefully, with the superpro camber bushing I get some more, I reckon I need to find at least +1° camber to zero out the rear

Yes drag radials will help, but camber solutions firs

Thoughts?
