Been really busy past 4 weeks, new profire ecu installed,
wired up 16 injectors, wasted spark with 8 ls2 coils, water injection.
Setup ecu, got all paramters sorted out.
Made up some covers to hide all the extra wiring.
Had to get a really big battery as 10.5.1 comp with stock starter motor equals slow starting rpm
Will have to get a new set of extractors to fit better starter motor but it did manage to fire up.
Didnt run it for long as its only a startup map.
So tmoz, go over everything with a spanner a 20180221_234053[1].jpg nd multi meter then get it towed to the dyno for run in and tune20180221_234110[1].jpg 20180221_234130[1].jpg

my temp fix to get me through the next week until I can get a new muffle and pipe fitted. Be interesting to see how long it lasts.

Almost as much time put into wire work holding that up as it would to change catback system lol.

Nothing done to ute yet except 5hrs with pick & shovel to dig 4x4 sized car pad that will later be paved & then ute will get it's v8 heart transplant on.

Yeah taken me two hrs including time on the heat gun trying to get silicone to dry. No where to buy any exhaust part within 1.5hrs from home. Not that it would matter i don't have 200 bucks for the muffler anyway. Might be like it for a month yet, once I head over to the neighbors and grab my mail and find out who else wants my money this fortnight...

Drove 3hrs yesterday along the highway and exhaust held up all fine. Heading back to town for work tomorrow and fine until i hit the gravel road and within 5 mins tbe exhaust had busted. Now i have 35mins of city driving with no muffler. Really got to hope the police stay away from my route home. Gonna be a flatbed when I can get it fixed hopefully in a few weeks time.

Might be time to invest in a welder to touch up small breaks like this. I wouldnt imagine silicone would last long with heat+movement

It would take a gas welder to repair it where it broke. I can't weld for sht so just have to pay someone. I was hoping he repair would hold for a few days until I could get a price. I should have drivn the extra 70km and taken the highway. I reckon if i did i would have been right to drive it in for a price and then back for repairs. Now its gonna be a flatbed.

Replaced the bump stops on the ute- as it turns out there weren't any, as a previous owner cut them off.
Put in a set of pedders, took a whole 15 minutes. Longest part was getting the last of the old ones off the mounts
