You wouldn't think different and maybe not !

I have managed to fit without dropping the tow bar.

Maybe/probably that day I had 10 thumbs and Murphy was laughing at me like a pack of hyenas.

I have two rubbers on but one has a fat cable tie through the top loop and then around the exhaust bracket. It will be fine for yonks but I hate bodge so i will need to get a replacement and lever the bastard on at some point, hopefully without splitting another $10 hanger.

Just a tip Losh, next time soak the rubber hanger in hot water or leave out in sun to stretch it a few mm’s its that last few mm’s that’s a beache :D we have the same trouble in the gen 1 standard exhaust cars.

Had to limp to work today, I think the TPS has crapped out, again. Hoping the garage next to work can fit me in as i have no tools to change it, unless I limp another 1.5hrs through the range to get home. And that ain't gonna happen because it may not make it and no phone reception once you get 15mins from Town.

Bloody so called OEM VSL is the issue. Murphy also makes it quite clear that these sorts of problems won't happen when and where you need them to happen either.... Yes he will make them happen when it is most inconvenient....

Might need a basic toolkit in that thing just in case....carry spare ignition module & coil in mine 'cos on 40+ days sometimes it won't restart, something electrical overheats lol.

Drove ute 2hrs in traffic across Sydney to pick up parts...cabin floor super hot, manual steering still feels tad heavy & y pipe to crap extractors leaking again...bit of work to do before next rego

Can't work on cars as tradies hogging my driveway & backyork for house reno.

I keep a Sidchrome kit in Town but not in the ute. Trouble is TPS needs torx. The basic socket and spanner kit does a few things but you can't keep everything you might need in a tiny garden shed just in case something might go wrong.
Pretty hard to change TPS on the side if the road anyway. Really need a bench to sit TB on while removing sensors.

Losh's odometer has since been repaired and is up and going again with a new set of sun gears installed.

You could ask the guy that is trying to sell my old VS that has lost 90,000 kms since I sold it in August 2017 o_O

He will likely know where they are hiding.

Can’t blame him as I ’d have politely said no as well ;)

If the car gets a full ground up body and mechanical restoration, at least a few decades ago you could get rego authority approval to set the odds back to zero. Not sure if that’s still the case these days.

Mine has a VS cluster anyway, so actual miles could be anyone's guess. In fact a lot of my ute is not the original parts that it was made with, even the trans and bonnet is not original.
