What engine does the ls6 intake manifold come with?

Been hearing about the ls6 intake manifold as a mod for the LS1 engine. Wanna grab one from the wreckers but i wanna make sure which engine it comes in...logic tells me the LS6 engine. If that's correct...then which year did commodore or caprice come with the LS6 engine?? That's if there are/were commodores released with LS6 engines.

If i get the LS6 intake manifold...would it fit on the LS1 engine of a VZ SS?? Is it plug and play??

Do you have the VZ SS engine already, if so that would come with the manifold.

The only thing in VY-VZ making it a LS1 is the 241 cast heads, change these to a 243 cast heads and you have an LS6 engine, As the later LS6 blocks were used (and only ones available)
