You may want to edit your first post, the words "nice" and "Camira" should not be used in the same lifetime.

Just read through the gumtree ad, it's defected.

Good luck getting a 20 something year old Camira through regency without major work.

Also it has dents and the interior looks a bit ****.

I have no idea why anyone would actually want this, let alone pay money for it.

A mate had a Camira... Was fun to bush bash in but otherwise a complete P.o.s, we were always laughing at how **** it was while we were driving it :p

Meh - $500. If it's still running without smoke and clean then what have you got to loose? Compared to their peers of the day, they actually drove great. The early JB (?) series cars had chronic piston ring and rust problems which pretty much maligned the name from there on. By the time the JE's were released they were actually quite good little cars however the badge was forever trashed as evidenced by this thread.

TBH, if it's still running without smoke and the body isn't full of rust then it'd last a few more years which is what you are wanting from any $500 car at best.

The quickest way to empty a workshop is to say "I have a Camira that needs some work done on it" and just watch all the mechanics disappear, as they know nothing is easy to fix on them.
But having said that they have all got as bad as each other so most new cars are as hard to work on as old Camira's.
