Came of at a state Mx round on a downramp and got runover. That was 2 broken ribs. Handlebar also punctured left bicep. not cool! Heaps of little cuts and burns when climbing all over machinery everyday. The biggest though is when I flipped my hilux and broke my clavicle (collar bone) into 3 pieces one resting on the arteries in my neck and the other two pressing on my heart. All this turned into a few operations and no more 4wds except at work. now low is the way to go.
Yes a lot of injuries occur from motorbikes. It's crazy how people like Travis pastrana still jump on s bike and jump and do tricks when the are still recovering from broken bones from hard hits.
Broken right arm twice & left arm once. Forearm & knees scratched up as a result of: Riding mounting bike through local Karawatha forest. I come to the last 500m to return to the car park and it happens to be a downhill section with some large humps. [now it should be noted that I have never attempted any sort of jump before this moment in time] At the speed I was traveling & the height of them, I managed to get some slight air time on the first hump, almost losing my balance as I landed. Successfully landing the first one, I thought ok I know how to handle this next one - no I did not. I come to the next hump, the bike & I leave the ground, as a result of inexperience I start to rotate forward as if doing a front flip. My front wheel makes contact with the ground & as my weight transfers to the front wheel, it collapses turning the handle bars 90degrees which jabs me in the chest winding me. As the rest of my body comes down, my arms are in the fetal position so get to make friends with the ground along with my knees that get small rocks lodged under the skin. My dad comes along only 30 seconds later to find my crying and swearing - not because of the pain but how restricted my life will be for the next few weeks. This was followed by an extremely painful walk to the car park due to the blood drying and my natural body movements unsettling the dried blood & the wind blowing on the open wounds. I couldn't lay my arms down flat like you would at the dining table or sitting on the couch etc. Hope you guys enjoyed my small story.
my best is motorbike related ... but i wont give them up had a trip over the bars at about 80km/h, broke both my wrists, cracked 5 ribs, bruised my lungs, 8 cm laciration to my liver, lost a litre of blood internally and by god i was concussed haha that was the worst and the only one worth while mentioning i guess, all the rest are sprained ankles, arms, loss of skin etc umm at work i ran an oxy tourch across my thumb, what happened was i was in my first year and was told to go down to the old sale yards to cut some pipe, anyway all good till the grass underneath my caught alight, went to stomp it out, forgot i was still holding the tourch and ran it across my thumb ... i smelt steak been cooked well done ... that bloody hurt and still dont have hair on my thumb lol thats about all i got
Woodworking chisel through the back of my left hand, was kinda cool seeing all the tendons move...then the blood started.
left wrist twice right wriste 3 times first 2 are boring but the third is the best was. I was at a skatepark in qld going up and down the ramps then i had an idea to do a switch kickflip up a ramp and i had done it many time before but this time when i landed i was leaning to far back the board came out from under me. I broke both bones in my arm one came out of my skin smashed every bone in my wrist dislocated my hand it was sitting ontop of my arm. Then 2 opperations later a few days in hospital and nearly 5 months in and out of casts. Then a week after i got out of hospital i was outside with no shoes which is normal but kicked a ball and broke 2 toes. and after that for the next 2 years it sucked. When my right arm healed the week after i broke my left one. after that was done came off a bike and broke my knee. then a few months later slipped on stairs at school and broke my ankle . ive broken my foot twice i was running around and hit a rock and other time it got run over. broken fingers many times with sport but the worst was when i was running and fell over put my hand out to save me but landed on my fingers and ripped the webbing open and broke both fingers on either side. broken coccyx in a snowboarding accident goin down a rail torn a few ligaments and i think that is it
This one isn't really injury related since I didn't get that hurt, but I went to bed one night at my parents place, and while asleep I had stood up on the bed, and started to walk towards the bedroom door I'm presuming, and walked straight off the bed, landed with my back on my TV unit door, snapped it off it's hinges, and landed in a heap ontop of it on the floor. I remember going to bed, then waking up on the floor in pain haha. I only got like, bruising, nothing major. The hinged were still attached to the unit door, and inside the cupboard thing under where my TV sits, there's 2 big gashes in the wood where the screws ripped out
I'm a butcher so I've had my share of cuts and knicks. sliced off my finger print from my left middle finger when sharpening my boning knife at work, wasn't pressing down on the blade hard enough when rubbing it on the stone, so the knife slipped passed my finger pad, and took the top clean off with it. I've also hit my knuckles with my steak knife a few times when rubbing it on the steel. even with a slash glove, it still hurts when you hit it at the right spot because of how fast I can hone the blade. it always happens when someone is talking to me and I'm distracted  also sometimes the little cuts you can get on your hands from coiling saw blades are like paper cuts and hurt like a bitc* in a cold meat room. I've also got a stuffed knee from my athletics days from hammer throw and discus and get frequent attacks of achilles tendinitis, which can be painful first thing in the morning. never broken a bone before though.
One of my mates got hit by a train when we were younger. Did all sorts of damage to his spine. His nickname is still Pancake to this day.
