As above. Also is it worth $800 if it needs new gaskets?

It's commonly found on little Toyota Engines from memory... sort a bit small for a 3.8 petrol engine... may give a little more in the low and middle... but not enough to justify the costs...L67 is far easier and straightfoward.

L67 would be a whole engine swap plus trans, PCM, k frame, loom and anything else required to upgrade. Simple bolt on would be a lot easier.
I appreciate the info though. It's not worth mucking around if its a small SC, which will do little. Bang for buck it sounds a waste.

They barely had enough puff for a 202 even then they had to be turned hard to get 4psi of hot air.

l67 swap or turbo the buick if you want forced induction.

Interesting, because that's the first thing I did when I saw it on FB. I couldn't find anything.

Not really, it's an Ecotec with a supercharger, so no k-frame swap, no PCM swap (you just need a memcal, and vs ECUs are cheap anyway), loom can be extended (although you are right it would be better to get the loom), gearbox is exactly the same as the regular V6 ones. Really you only need the engine. They came factory in the VS so it would be fine to use VS running gear, no linking necessary etc...

I think the SC14 is roughly the same size as an M90 (SC14 = 1.4L, M90 = 90cu), but the M90 is better in this application. To give you come perspective, Toyota put these on 4AGZE 1.6L engines, so why somebody got the idea to put a single one of these on a 3.8 is kinda beyond me. There's a couple of other downsides - some of the bearings cannot be bought new (genuine or aftermarket) and then there's the cost of tuning.

They're really sought after these days (dunno why), seems to be the standard price now. Probably because they were on old 86s or something or people trying to do suuuuper budget supercharger installs.

I didn't think an Eco was a straight swap with a Buick.
I have a really decent Buick and fitting an unknown cond SC engine would be a risk.

Found info on the Toyota SC and it will cause more problems than its worth it would seem. Plus they tend to detonate if you try and get any decent boost.
