Larry Perkins did. He had 50 304 block done specially for V8 racing thanks to the Italians at the foundry, they had more metal added to the critical areas where they use to crack, Also had bigger oil galleries. Some one In Australia has these 50 Blocks, some were sold with Larry Perkins Injestion (complete Motor) but some were solds as BARE BLOCKS and good heads that had more meat in the right places.Please stop digging up old threads.
When did the first HSV 5.7 come out? Think about it logically, Holden would only have made a revision to the block castings if there was a necessity.
