Ok cool so it is reverse lockout....

Gearbox is from a VS GTS, and going into a VS Clubsport. Any idea what wires are suppose to go where? I doubt ill have that plug in my loom. How would i hook it up?

Two ways to hook it up.

1. You can run a feed from the brake light switch so when you have your foot on the brake you can select reverse.
2. Run a separate safety switch (the type with the cover) on your console so when you need to get reverse you flick the switch and it activates the solenoid.

If you are using the car for normal road use I would recommend the first way. The second way is good if you do motorkhana's or auto tests where you need to pull reverse quickly.
With the second option you have to remember to flick the switch after you have finished with reverse or the solenoid will stay open and it can be quite easy to hit reverse when going for 5th gear.

How easy would it be to hit reverse instead of 5th? Surely it wont be easy.
I was thinking about ditching it for now

Pretty easy, the gate between 5th and reverse is pretty small. If you go a fraction to far you will clip reverse. It will only take you about 20 to 30 minutes ti hook it up either way. A lot less time than having to pull the gearbox out and have it fixed.
