Dear Just Commodores

I purchased a VZ Commodore Lumina over the long weekend and I noticed this device plugged in to the vehicle and I was wondering if anybody could tell me what it is? I originally thought it was a camera - but that's highly unlikely. Could it possibly be the remnants of an alcohol interlock device?

SS Commodore - Ford Territory ... both camps
It's definitely a single push-button device, my guess maybe an aftermarket push-button start?

Maybe the adjuster for an electric brake controller?

The vehicle has a full tow-bar pack fitted to it. Of course, I realise now it would have been an independent brake switch or similar.

In regards to that, my rear parking sensors are disconnected - I found a DIY manual on how to re-connect the rear parking sensors and found the plug - when re-attached the vehicle simply buzzes full-time when the car is in reverse - it doesn’t matter how far away an object in, it’s just a constant beep. Looks like I’ll be taking the car into Holden for this one - that or an auto electric shop.

It will just buzzes as it "sees" the towbar, hence why it was disconnected. If you're lucky, remove the tow ball and see if that helps.

EYY is on the money, it's part of a Nokia hands free kit
Used to have a Nokia mobile and hands free setup in a work vehicle years back and it had that identical button
From memory it was the push to answer/hang up button
