What is this wire?

    Since the day i bought my VP Commodore this wire has not been attatched to anything, its broken of from somewhere i think, but not sure where. any suggestions?

    The device that it is connected to is a thermal breaker ( usually in the range 20-30Amp). You would have to follow that twin cable back to see were it leads. It is not standard wiring but could be residual from an old phone or power amp installation.

    i had the same thing on mine connected to some old electric trailer brakes

    Where would it have been connected to tho? would the red wire have been connected to my battery?

    just chop it out mate, its not factory so unless something aftermarket isnt working why would you want to connect it up?

    just follow the wire and see where it goes, looks like that black fuse holder goes into the red wire of that twin cable.
    as said before could be something to do with an old electric brake system.

    Disconnect the battery first incase there is power on it and you short the nuts to ground with your spanner. Also put some vasso on your battery terminals yours are not corroded but vasso stops this happening.
