U need to be more specific mate, what are you trying to achieve? More power? Better handling? Better sound system etc etc also how much money are you willing to throw at it?

Not sure what the laws are over there with regards to p plate mods (I’m in nz) diff gears are a good way to get better acceleration and cops or any other authority would never know, otherwise you can do the usual air intake, exhaust, dyno tune, manifold spacers etc

as above diff gears are the cheapest mod that is often over looked, won't change the sound of your car so won't draw attention from the police

I've done diff gears in 2 of my Commodores now both v8s although the principal is exactly the same for v6 and it really does liven them up acceleration wise and as long as you don't go stupid with the gear ratio choice actually gets slightly better fuel economy too due to the motor not labouring as much to get up to speed

buy a house spending money on cars is throwing it down the dunny buy a new car if you want more power the days of modifying cars are done the mods you do wont gain much apart from using more fuel you'll get more power but big deal its never going to be a race car if money isn't an option buy yourself a race car and go hoon on a race track I wasted shitloads of cash paying fines for going somewhere between 2k's over the limit or the pig being nice and charging me with 28 k's over I wasted all my oldmans and ex's demirt points today I have sfa.

Seems like a healthy balanced attitude to have when visiting a car focused site bravo keep up the good work.
