The number of rusty wrecks appearing over the last few months, and being sold for big $$$ boggles the mind and common sense.
The Falcon 'Chicken coupe' attracted the attention of The Enforcer and The Dude who suggested that all it needed was a bit of fuel, oil change and air in the tyres, and it could be driven away.
Next weekend, a GTR at a West Wyalong auction is expected to bring big money.
And now this one. Apart from the shell being originally a GTHO, it is now just another Falcon with no important bits remaining. Buy it, spend $150K on restoring it, and it will still be a replica or fake, as it won't be an original.
If you want to drive a classic 60s > 70s performance car, there are any number of roadworthy, driveable fakes around for a lot less money, that will satisfy the driving want, if not the snob value and bragging rights.

Issue is, even with SH Holden parts every bastard has now inflated their prices way beyond anything reasonable. The seller's are holding us to ransom as they won't come down much from the exorbitant prices they now ask.

Finally got around to changing the wheel bearings on my trailer which has 4 x VC SLE rims, fitted with vintage 20 year old tyres.
Thought that if I covered them in chickenshit, they could be as rare and valuable as a recently discovered GTHO.
Alas, I can’t fit any of my spare rims over the hub centre, so the SLE rims will remain on the trailer.
It also appears that these rims are as cheap and plentiful as the chickenshit that has not yet been spread on a ‘barn find’ GTHO or Torana.
