Hi guys i have a rockford fosgate t1001bd 1000 watt amplifer, im running 2 infinity 250watt rms subs from it.
I know usually mono amps just have one channel + and -, but this rockford amp is like a 4 channel amp and has 2 + - on it, one amp is connected to the first set of + and - and the other is connected to the other + and -. Anyone know what ohm its running at? hope that makes sense! thanks

If you have two subs and you connect one each to the +ve and -ve terminals then it's 2x 4ohm.

Over here car speakers are 4 ohm types. If he had 2 +ve terminals and 2 -ve terminals and to each of them he connected a speaker, then there would be a 4 ohm load on each channel. Am I missing something here?

AFAIK the OP isn't running a mono amp looking at his post. If he was then yeah there would be a 2 ohm load if the 2 subs were wired in parallel.

Hi HoLDenGuY,

It can't be a mono amp if it has two +ve and -ve terminals.
AFAIK mono amps are single channel? I am not familiar with your setup. Not sure what you mean.

Are you sure it isn't a 2 channel amp? If you connect each sub to each of the +ve and -ve terminals then it runs in two channel mode and therefor you have a 4 ohm load on each channel.
