I'm an indecisive car buyer to say the least. I want a wagon and the available wagon options are getting less and less by the day.

I've had a VF Evoke before and it was OK. Thinking about getting a VFII SV6.

I hate FWD, followed by AWD and RWD being my favourite. If it weren't for being FWD, I'd probably prefer something like a VW Passat Comfortline. It's a shame that the Australian made Commodores never got DI turbo petrol engines.

What else did you guys consider and why did you go with your VF?

VF2 MY16 SS Redline Sportwagon
I considered lots of things on paper. My seriously considered shortlist was the VF, Outback 3.6R and the Passat Alltrack. In the end I decided on the VF2 as it was the only (non SUV, car-like) wagon that could also do a good job of (occasionally) towing without undue weight (ball load) or speed restrictions.

I've got a Patrol if the occasional towing is ever needed. If anything, the VF is a little bigger than I'd ideally want.

Another contender is the A4. Something like this:

VF II SS
I considered Subaru Liberty with V6, Mazda 6 and Subaru Levorg.

Ended up with VFII SS as i always wanted a V8

If you wanted something diesel, but also not FWD, and while it's AWD not RWD the V60 Cross Country might be something you could consider.

I really want turbo petrol but a high tech NA V6 like the LFX in the VF is acceptable. I've got a BMW F11 LCI 535i with 3L turbo inline 6 and it's great but looking to downgrade due to such a small amount of use being hard to justify what it's worth.
