Wash it, polish it, service it, treat it well and it will last you until you get over the hot up thing.

Whilst you wash n polish you could think about the way the engine breaths. For example the air filter , cylinder heads and exhaust. All you need to do is replace the filter with a k@n washable and keep your factory air box, have the cylinder heads professionally throuted a little and fit a complete pacemaker exhaust including headers to suit your car and new headflow requirements . Don't forget to change your o2 sensors at the same time. This will cost atleast $6k+ at least. Then just cruze....

I can offer advice on what not to do ………...
Drop it so low that your new exhaust drags off over speed bumps.
Fit huge diameter wheels, your tyres have to be so low profile that you will need to see a dentist.
Fit a body kit that’s says ‘look at me, I nearly a V8supercar.’
Install a $$$$ doof-doof $ound $ystem.
Fill the interior with Maccas remnants.

If you do all of the above, (WOFTAM), you can then look at something newer/better that fits your needs/dreams, and sigh …. ‘wish I had the money to buy that.’

Thanks man, I never really liked those people who lowered their and put 21 inch wheels and put a big ass subwoofer, the vy is my favourite commodore, so I probably just get headers and exhaust and put a k/n filter in like what the other guy said

New heater tap is good insurance for the motor.

Also, bushes, shocks and most bearings are shat by 200k.

For sure. SS wheels look way better than aftermarket.

Should be mandatory.
