Well...the supercharger might finish it off, when it goes on... I am sure there will be a ton of boxes around at the wreckers. I might get one built. Sure is fun trying!

The Achilles heel in these cars (with big power) is the gearbox. Mine is flaring all over the place, especially after a bit of a thrash.

As far as getting off the line, I've had hero's in their stock VY SS's blowing me away off the lights. No such thing as a clean launch

Mine rarely flares. I've got a deep pan camaro sump. But, I haven't fitted it yet.

But doesn't the VE VF come with 6l80, I thought only LSA had the 90.
Yeah, but much tougher replacement for FI applications.

A friend of mine had a supercharger on a VE R8 auto with about 500 -550 rwhp. Killed the clutch plates in the auto. Sold it and put the supercharger on VF R8 (manual) tuned to 550 -600rwhp, no issues. The V8 holden auto boxes can only be pushed so far.
Boxes are cheap. Not even a worry...

I really don't understand all the naysaying...how hard is it to get a box built to take the punishment....?

If you all put the dollars down, you wouldn't barely have an issue. Is it much easier to say 'No, it can't"?

Boo Hoo, if I break the box, I will get one built.

Put a Tremec in it with HD clutch, problem solved ;)

That aside a built T400 will handle the big horses without a prob. Mate is pushing 665rwkw through his without a hiccup.

Nek minnut broken driveshaft.

There's always a weak spot if you want to hammer them day in day out. Engineering out a weak spot just moves the point of breakage.
