What to do to my VX V6 ecotec?

Ive got a VT Calais and the motor blew up so ive brought a VX V6 Ecotec,
Its sitting in my garage now, so im just wondering is there much i can do to it while its not in my car for 1 more week?

1: Buy an engine stand.

2: Completely rebuild.

deffinetly invest in an engine stand or crane for starters

I would do the rear main and pull the sump to check the pickup, why not its out easy to do and cheap . At keast you will know thats all good.

Clean the intake and if you ever want a cam do it while its out.

yea thanks for the comments! Cleaned the plenum and intake out, might do the rear main seal. If anyone knows how and explains it haha.

I think rear main seal is a bit more than to explain over the forums haha. Look it up i'm sure someone has written one up on an ecotec.
