Googled Splats and these come up.
Yes Dragways.

I used to polish the fu#ckers. Alloy centres & steel rims.
Brings back memories.

I even caught on fire once, doing the steel rims. In hospital for a week l think. Must have been 1979.

I'm so glad that 2000's chrome wheel obsession died off.

God they look awful.

Old school polished alloys like Cragars etc yes, chromies.....hell no

I have a set of these here...14X7 and 14X8.....Filled the guards on my Valiants nicely...

There was 2 styles of these...One style had the rounded spokes like in the picture and the other the spokes weren't as rounded....

Just a bit of useless information... :)

I remember cheap chromies back in the 2000's used to suffer from the chrome peeling, especially on the inside of the rim, hidden by the tyre....It used to cause flat tyres left right and centre....I even saw them have the chrome peel off the rim, making them look shite....

Yeah mate, they did have both 4 and 5 stud centres with these....5 stud were more common.....

The centres unbolted from the outer ring, as someone has already mentioned.....Brilliant idea they were...Bend an outer, just unbolt it and bolt it into another outer....

I don't recall any that are pop rivetted together

Maybe thats what l was remembering, Allen key head bolts? But l think l remember someone telling me they where fake allen key bolt heads, but where actually riveted in? This was back in the late 70's.

Not sure l'm remembering correctly?
