What tyre pressure?

Hey everyone, just wondering what the optimal type pressure should be for a set of Nankang 18" 235/40.

On the tyre it says do not inflate above 44psi, but this seems a bit on the high side, considering the stock tyres recommendation is for 28 front and 34 rear.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

As often as possible
I run 36 - 38 psi on 235/50's, I find any higher is a bit too harsha ride. It is a family taxi tho'!

im running 38-40psi on my 18's, i was running 35psi before and it felt sloppy, now since i put it up, handles loads better and rides better over bumps. feels more solid if u get what i mean

so 30psi for 17' tyres is low? mine were pumped to 40psi at the tyre place, the ride was very rough, dropped to 30psi and smooth.

It is a little on the low side... I run 36 front, 34 rear and can tell if they get down to around 30 as the handling changes and it starts understeering etc. If they are too low you might find they wear on the outside edges too.

lower profile tyres need a higher pressure than the higher profile tyres as there is less rubber to roll and protect rims from potholes, the more pressure u have the less rol and less chance of buckleing a rim on potholes,
like i allready have because i had my pressure too low:bang:
