What tyres are good in 17" size?

I think I posted this previously in the wrong section so I have re posted it here
I have just bought a Commodore VR on 17s that has had rear camber problems (Lowered IRS) that I am fixing. So I am needing new tyres as the ones on it are smooth on the inside edge.

Just wondering what tyres people have been happy with and what tyres people have had a bad run with.
Im after something middle of the range price wise that sticks to the road reasonably wet or dry and that doesnt wear out too quick.

I have had good results with Goodyears on my 4wd and just looking at the website these look the goods http://www.goodyear.com.au/showtyregy2004.php?tyre=0000000775671
Not sure what they would be worth though.

Any opinions on good or bad tyres will be apreciated

I've heard good things about the dunlop sp3000? not sure what they're called but i was told they are good value for money.
