My first car was an LX Torana that went mental or so i thought. 3 speed manual column shift. woot Had a baby 6cy 173ci (another woot) After I fcuked the driveline from too many burnouts I had it parked in my carport only to come home oneday and find skid marks from the front wheels. WTF. Asked the neighbours what happened and they said 'a white truck came and chain the back on the tray and left (In about 5 Minutes)' Poor car was never to be seen again
Ha! Yeah my first car was a Mazda 808 Savannah sedan (RX3 look alike). It was neat and and i thought it was the sh!t but it was a slug!! Everyone kept asking when i was gonna put a rotor in it, so a few years later I bought an RX4 coupe (bridgeport!!). It was a loud animal of a thing but real quick (I put a couple of 5 Litre Holdens to shame). Anyhow that car got me into too much trouble with the cops, so i bought a Series 2 RX7. That was my baby for 7 years - spent lots on her and she was the envy of all my mates. I did it up so nice that I only wanted to drive her on weekends, so I bought a runaround - a Mazda 323 panelvan!! Kool car, but no performance. Then I had a coupla company cars and as i got a bit older, I realised I wanted something quick but refined and wont get me into trouble. Hence the VY SS I have now - best car Ive ever owned!!!
Triumph I have been trying to avoid this thread, but finally gave in. My first car was a Triumph. Unfortunately, it was not a TR6 but a 12/50. Handled well, as British cars did in those days. But a 1200 engine gave "relaxed" performance.
lol My first car was a 79 VB commy - bought it for $300 3 years ago run like a gem just traded it for $300  to get my current baby 97 VS Exec
My first car was bought with a loan - $2750 for an 85 VK Exec Wagon (in 1998) - Beautiful paint on her, straight as hell, no sctratches, perfect interior, ran well until I flogged guts outta her and skidded over a few gutters, into trees etc showing off... (not exterior damage done though! bar a cracked plastic bumper!) annoying thing that ended up killing the car was the power steering... Over 3 years, leaked so much over all rubber in the front end, to get back on the road, would have had to replace all mounts, all ruber, bushes, tie rod ends, control arms, everyhting to do with steering etc... Had the car services once in 4 years owning her, and with all the punishmnet I gave her, she still spun the wheels off the mark with stock varajet craby on 205's, and was a bloody reliable car for the lack of love she received... I so wish I'd been a better father though... I wish the old girl... Mine an ex cop car... whats the difference? What extra do they put on pursuit? Mine has power windows, gearbox mods and LSD and FE2, other than that, power is exactly the same... ???
