The service bulletin says;

"This condition may affect the 7.7 mm pitch timing chain, installed in engines after the following engine number: H053340001."

and

"Improved timing chains were introduced from the following breakpoint:

Engine Number H071380576
Eng Built Date: 18/05/07"

and "Typical expectation is that ECM detectable chain elongation would occur in early engine life (i.e. 10,000 to 20,000 km)."

I would say majority of people have read that bulletin now as its posted all over the internet. The problem is that the issue is still happening with vehicles above 2007. So the improved chains may have "helped" but not fix the issue

Here is the real reason why these commodores start stretching chains ect. Design fault by GM in PVC ventilation. Apparently a revised manifold PVC ventilation nipple was released in 2014?

That's not a very professional explanation or approach to dealing with the supposed problem. "Piss this thing off", "let it breath to the atmosphere or whatever". Yeah, really clever. Not. If you're going to post something like your personal theory on the 'net, have something definite, demonstrable, proven and legal to show before doing so. We know the Alloytec had poor ventilation, so this video isn't news.
