Looks wise, VR SS....there is something that Holden just got right about a VR/VS shape, they are just goddamn sexy, when tastefully modified. In terms of a drivers car, for comfort, power, etc....I'd choose a VX SS. Newer chassis, more insulated, better A/C, more powerful motor.
i have decided to keep my VR i was looking at it this morning and i cant part with it im just gonna spend a bit more on my VR and make it a beast dont want to spend but i would have spent more on a VX plus my VR looks and sounds great i got a mate with a VX SS S1 and it sounds alrite but mines louder and you guys are right VR VS just look sexy as
+1 Actually the only shape after the VS that I actually liked was the VE (although I didn't like the new alloytecs and sidi engines, IMO they are too smooth and too quiet you don't even notice them running without spending a decent amount on an exhaust system) The VT/X/Y/Z just didn't appeal to me what so ever. So looks like I am keeping the VS until the VF is released and I can pick up a cheap VE I will admit the VX will be superior in almost every way to drive but in terms of style the VR has it in spades
You should crash them into each other and then if all goes well they will merge and youll have a vr ss with an ls1
Dunno how anybody could even think to ask which is better. One was simply an extensive upgrade of the VN, which was based on the same basic floorpan as the VB, which dated from the mid 1970's engineering-wise. The other was based on a mid 90's car with far greater structural integrity, primary and secondary safety and was perhaps a tad slower in standard form. There is no question which was the better engineered and safer car.
