Afew magazines have done specials on this subject, and even giveaway motors.

The best combo off the top of my head was a RED BLOCK

joined to a VC commy BLUE HEAD

topped off with EFI from a VK BLACK MOTOR

All this thrown together with a warm ( not hot ) cam and chip package from Crow Cams, extractors with 2 1/4 inch system, double row timming chain / gear drive, remapped vc "blue" dizzy, hypertetic pistons, cold air box with K&N panel filter.

This little combo got a VH commy that was stock (other than motor ) down the 1/4 in a high 13.

Sorry dude I'm gonna call your bluff on that - I'd be guessing very high 14's if not low 15's with that combo :)

Got timeslips or anything? Just that I've seen PLENTY of similar spec'd 202s that can only push a Commo down the quarter in high 14's at best.

I mean I'm in the process of rebuilding my 202 and I'd be VERY happy with those figures... but I know I'm not gonna get them :)

And a 'cam and chip' package? Can't chip a VK ECU my friend. It's replace or nothing!

On topic: 202 head change is a piece of piss. I did mine with nothing other than a Gregory's manual and a bit of advice from forums. Noone helped me along the way - didn't know too much about engines at this stage either.

why not put in the 3 liter multi EFI Nissan motor... bolt on the ex 2 liter toyota super-charger about $2,000 with all custom brackets instructions.... get 30% extra horses ...
