With the new NSW restrictions for P platers, i was wondering how tight they are with mods and what can still be done?

Like can a CAI be argued its for fuel economy, not performance??

thanks

it all depends man, im on ma reds but ive had them since december 04, which is before the july 05 rules hence i can drive my Xr8, otherwise u will have 2 get an exemption, but u can only get an exemtion for high powered v6's at the most, V8's are off limits.
theres a 92 page list of banned cars on the NSW rta site.
its a bit screwed though because they band old hsv's with 185 V8's in em but you can still drive an SV6 with a 190kw v6 lol :drink:

as for mods, the site says any additiion to the vehicle which raises power or perrformace is goneskies which would mean crap like airfilters, chiping, carbys etc

hope that helps in a kinda dissapointing way

you would probably get away with the tip and muffler as long as its not to loud lol eg. Two big ass hotdogs
