Its the Position Crank Ventilation hose, which is part of the emission system, this crack can cause a horrible idle and performance issues where the car nearly stalls, due to vacuum leak.

From Holden, the whole hose piece costs $85, when i got it 8-12 months ago.

Some people have gone and just replaced the plastic elbow, but tape works, try self-amalgamating tape, this worked fine for me till i got the hose replaced.
Thats not as bad as I thought :embarrass

You may have to purchase the complete pipe including connectors. Cost is about $80.00 Sometimes the pipe can be manouvered out from under the intake cover. If not, then I suggest tht you carefully remove the damaged albow and replace it with the new one that accompanied the pipe. Once I installed the new one I put a couple of layers of self sealing (amalgamating) tape around it in order to protect it and hopefully keep it together.

IIRC, positive crankcase ventilation port and hose. Part of the emission control system. About $145 to replace. Mine was replaced in 2010 when a strange rumble developed that was not traceable to fuel, engine condition or plugs/injectors. There is a much longer section of hose beyond what is visible on the manifold.

Anyone know why that positive crankcase would be clicking along with the engine clicking?
It's maybe not as harsh as this original post but I just noticed it today,

Injectors can click or tick. The purge solenoid ticks. They just do.
