i recomend u check this link out
http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/showthread.php?t=30557
it will tell you all you need to know

personly i would say get a vr acclaim or similer coz there got all the extras the vs has except the passenger airbag and the ecotech, the eco tech has an extra 17kw but thats not hard to make up with the money you can save also the vr is the last of the buick motors so there got most the faults fixed as of the vs being a new motor to holden they were still testing it out but if your goin to get a vs go the s2.

lol the ecotech was last used in the VY ( i think ) so holden have stopped playing around with it.

out of a VR and VS i personally would prefer a VS for the ecotechs smoothness compared to the VR, but the vs is an OK vehicle in its own.

if anything look up examples of both and go for a well looked after one

hey the exterior features are different, VS has the current lion badge, different stripping, wheels, seats and other little things. But these are not major, I prefer a VR, as it was the last buick engine (compared to VN series 1), less faults.

If going for a VS, go for the VSII, less faults.

Depends if u want a stocker or not, for 6G u could get like a nice clean low k VS, but u could get a really nice VR for that, probly already with exhaust rims lowered or somthin. But stay away from car yards... I work at one and they over price everything by several thousand dollars
