Dont know what vts are like but with my VE they were uneven turns out one of the globes was upside down and not sitting right. Just check and see if it looks to be sitting right
Looks to me like you may have a voltage drop on that side. Check the harness plug. It may be dirty or corroded, or not plugged in properly. Also check the plugs on the globes for the same things.
I agree, check the fuse. You would think that if the fuse is blown it wouldn't work at all, but that is not the case.
left headlight fuse is fine, thing is when bought got the car the highbeam relay was missing why i dont know, is this a indication of something wrong? (note: the pics this is of HB relay being in)
Maybe they had it out to try and find the problem and forgot to put it back in. Anyway, I doubt that's the problem, because there's also a problem with the low beam. Try measuring the voltage at the headlight plug.....still reckon there is a voltage drop. Disconnect the right side headlight assembly and see if the left becomes any brighter. Maybe check the 60 amp lighting fusible link. May be the globe's on the way out.
fixed was a sad left headlight fuse did'nt seem blown but even that had me going for a bit, also changed for new fuse for right headlight which gave the right headlight better light :spot on: thanks everyone for the help. :yeah:
I'd say that either the fuse element was de graded and caused power loss, or the contacts on the fuse were dirty causing same.
