vy calais .vs commodore
hello i was just cleaning my rims standard vy calais and i noticed i have the old style nuts i will try and explain they are a bout 1 inch in hight with a tapid edge on one side i would like to know are they ok to leave on or are there other ones i should put on because they sink almost right into the wheel nut holes hope u know what i am talking a bout thanks

From what you have described these are the standard steel wheel nuts Holden uses with their alloys. They are tapered on one end and locate the alloys well on the hub. They sit well inside the stud holes in the rim when done up fully.

If you are worried just drive into a dealer service department and show them the wheels. They will tell you straight away if they are the incorrect type of wheel nuts. They sound correct though from your post.

If my effort to attach a pic works, the correct nut will be the middle one in the photo. The one on the right is the old style of nut used on steel rims and the left hand one is the early Commodore style.

well as i said im my post above,they're steel rim nuts,you'll need the middle nuts
