Of course it depends on the car, obviously later model cars suit bigger wheels. But for a first gen like the VH, I love the VL Walkinshaw wheels. They look the correct scale for the car and have negative offset (crucial for early model cars IMO)
it's the only wheels I've ever bought. Originally bought them new for my previous VH almost 20 years ago.
I've gone to considerable lengths to keep them as I wanted a big brake upgrade (330mm rotors). I managed to just squeeze VN Grp A 330mm rotors and calipers under the wheels with just a mm or 2 to spare. Would have been much easier and cheaper to buy a set of 17's and buy a new set of PBR calipers, but I didn't want to give up the wheels.
