When does the low fuel light kick in?

With gas, I know I have at least 100 ks left after approx 300 ks when it chirps around town

mines comes on when there is 10ltrs of fuel left in my vr

mine hits when its just on red.

owners manual suggests that fuel light appears when there is approx. 8 litres of fuel left in the tank.

Pretty sure the VR Commodore should indicate when theres 50km to go, assuming should be the same with VT/VX.

mine always kicks in as soon as it goes below 50km left. If its on 50, then no light, if it goes 49 then light

look everyone the light comes on when a certain amount of fuel is left in the tank..,....NOT when so many km left.......

the reason there are variations in the km empty are because of ppl different driving habits.......

i know when it says 14kms your out of fuel!!#!$#$@%$# found out the other day but lucky for me i was pulling into the servo and i just had to roll it in. Took a while to start it again and coffed and splutted till i hit the highway. Thinking it just sucked up the sludge off the bottom ha ha

60Ks but don't trust it....10 kms later it will give you a different reading....do not run a fuel injected engine low on fuel anyway :thumbsup:
