Carsales list 88 new and demo VFII's Commodores and 26 Calais, some of the pics show cars with number plates so already registered, others pictured with no number plates. VFacts for November have 22 VFII's newly registered. I think the last few months were something over 30 VFII's a month. VFacts report on new registrations so that doesn't necessarily mean they all had a buyer, it could also be there were more buyers, but cars had been previously registered. Given there's about 200 dealers that equates to only one in ten dealers registering a VFII in November.

The Motorsport Edition numbers for the above are unknown. I have not worried the dealership with such an enquiry! I think the “NSW Holden Dealer” is in Taree.

There are also quite a few in private hands, several of them, including one from a Holden employee, that still have the plastic covering on seats and steering. These include 18 of which their VIN is unknown having Motorsport Edition Numbers of 92, 199, 205, 208, 314, 362, 817, 845, 1127, the other 9 having unknown ME numbers and 8 with VIN and an odometer reading of less then 20kms.

Six Motorsport Editions have been sold in the past four weeks, four of which have the Special Edition numbers of 387, 608, 689, 801. On sale are Numbers 75, 207, 507 and 811.

When I updated my listing, I found that nine vehicles, all SS-V Redline have been sold since 15 December 2018. I will be updating my VIN listing in about four weeks time, and any sales from the above will be noted.
It is interesting that no Light My Fire Orange are included, indicating that this was a popular colour and easily sold.
I would be interested in learning if any others up to 100km are still sitting in dealer yards that are not included.

Some keen following of the last few cars there!!! When not feeling too lazy I sometimes go for an jog, and one of my routes goes past the Attadale one. They've always had plenty of new VF2 there and still did last time I went past, which was around Christmas eve. Always think to myself, why haven't these sold yet? But the months just roll on and on and they still sit there, suppose they must sell one every week or so though. Last time I was there they also had a new looking spitfire green Magnum ute right at the front close to the road, spent a few seconds admiring that one knowing I might never see one again. Even reached into my pocket for the phone to take a pic before realising the kids had it a home playing computer games.

Thanks for your comments Rapom1! I have gone back and checked my notes, and have added another Demo at Attadale, a Slipstream Blue with high clicks of 3,521 which I thought may have been a trade-in, but the company classified this one as a Demonstrator, so presumably it has not been sold previously and then traded back in and then used as a demonstrator to keep the other cars at a low reading. Must check my other notes to see if there are any other high odometer readings that are also demo's at other locations.

Thanks for your comments. I did a check on Attadale vehicles, and one I thought was a trade-in due to its odometer reading of 3,521 kms was actually classified by the dealer as a DEMO, so I have inserted it into the above list. It is possible the vehicle was sold and then traded back in and the dealer decided to use it as a demo rather than increasing the odometer readings for the other two new vehicles.

Your local dealer may very well have changed the classification from Demo to Used but that is not true with every dealer as one can tell with the above image.

All that I have listed, with a couple of exceptions possibly, are classified as DEMO. You will note that I have not included any from Peter Page Holden in the above lists. It is interesting though, although Peter Page Holden refers to their vehicles in the image you provided as being USED, one of these, classified as USED, has the following included as a part of the vehicle's description:

Obviously, even Peter Page Holden has a problem in how to describe a NEW CAR as a USED CAR!

Carsales mostly does not include the VIN, (or if it does, only an abbreviation) which is atrocious as this is the identity of the vehicle. Most private sellers opt not to include the VIN and one has to question why.
