where can a car be tested legally to know its top speed

lol^^^ thats out of the fast and the furious.. they will chase u if they can without endangering lives.. and there cars go more than 180ks.. im sure there not gonna detune a cop car seeing as how sedans are limited to 250km.. u can take a shot on a freeway but wouldnt be the smartest idea.. and ur sv6 should hit the 250km limiter if u had a long enough road..

find a nice long strip of free way very early in the morning and just hit it. Cops wont chase you after 180kmh becasue their cars are stock, cant catch you so they wont chase you.

is it possible to figure it out via number crunching?
torque and power numbers + gear ratios + estimated wind speed + humidity + drag of vehicle + weight + resistance + etc rah rahr ah = top speed ??

Go to the NT, they have numerous highways where there is NO speed limit. Just remember, if your actions result in the death or injury of someone, you will likely face charges for Cause Death or at the very least, Manner Dangerous.
