where can a car be tested legally to know its top speed

how are you going to determine the top speed of it anyway...... by the time you had the car at the point of not accelerating anymore you surely would have ran out road......

This is why salt lake racers need so much power... even to crack the 300km/h mark...

isnt it best to do it over a 3km distance from go to woe?????

Pretty sure the SV6 would stop really pulling past the 220km/h mark it will then just slowely wind up........ an SS would probably make it to the 240-250km/h and then start to just slowely wind up to its limit...

Then the tyres would probably blow.....

hahah did it ever have a speed limit? i thought those cameras were for photos of the back of the car when you drive by to show which car is winning...

Same as all the speed cameras in Bankstown here too. I think they come framed.
yea i recon drove along there today for work the navman was going nuts saying red light cameras and speeding cameras..

Cops cant go quicker than 140 here but as already stated good luck outrunning a chopper.

i have been on the freeway doing about 90 when a ford that had to be going double my speed flew past my big old 4wd.. then about 20 seconds later this hyperspeed blur of a cop car rocketed past at what i now realize must have been atleast 220 or more.
